Poi Planet is an integrated Public Relations and Marketing Communications (MarCom) company based in O'ahu, Hawai'i. For those who have a product or service to share, our job is to help identify that brand, develop it, and get that message out to the public. We are passionate about storytelling and want to help you tell yours. Our services include I.D./Brand campaigns, press kits, dissemination lists, media relations, media training, and specialty skills such as event production.

With our combined experience working in both Hawai'i and Los Angeles, our team’s mission is to provide "Communication services with Aloha.” We can mix promotions, brand management, production, and special events in one big “poi bowl” to help others with their marketing and communication needs. Our Services
Public Relations/MarCom
Collaborating with the client to get a true feel for their product or service is essential to developing key messages that resonate with their target audience. Once stories are approved, we create press releases, media advisories, and a curated media dissemination list, and move into action. We keep close communication with the client and all team members to ensure that the narrative is consistent across PR, Mar/Com, and social media platforms. Our media relations are built organically, and we are always building connections with the community to make sure that stories are being recognized.
Brand Management
Effective brand management builds loyal customers and can help companies improve name recognition, boost revenue, and achieve long-term business goals over time. Monitoring performance builds awareness of the brand for key demographics. When each project activates, we carefully monitor progress from start to finish, adjusting strategies along the way to guarantee optimal results. The attention to detail is crucial to keeping consistent with the overall PR/MarCom message.
Coaching
No matter where a client might be with the promotion of their product or service, there is always room for growth. Lifelong learning is a philosophy at Poi Planet. Several of our team members offer instruction and guidance in areas such as PR 101, Media Tips, On-Camera Coaching, Social Media Best Practices, and Business Development Coaching. Classes or workshops can be held virtually for one-on-one training or in person when there is a group of 10 or more guests. These classes and workshops are fun, engaging, and there is always something new to learn.
Specialty Services
Our services go beyond the scope of PR. Our team specializes in event production, as on-site interaction is necessary in understanding each client’s stories on an experiential level. The process begins with the Poi Planet team creating a theme, then outlining the timeline and meeting with clients regularly to fine-tune the logistics of each event. We are hands-on in every step, from booking the venue to working with in-house collaborators, handling the finer details such as catering, decor, photography/videography, and curating the media/guest list. On “day of” the event, the entire team is present and executing tasks, monitoring event flow, and sharing new information about our client’s brand to invited guests, keeping their interests piqued.
